Accessibility on our websites
Introduction
At Eschenbach Optik, accessibility is not only a legal matter, but also a sign of respect and inclusion. Although we are not legally obligated to comply with the German Accessibility Reinforcement Act (European Accessibility Act – EAA), we aim to design our websites in a way that is accessible and usable for as many people as possible – regardless of individual abilities or technical conditions.
This statement is not an official accessibility statement in accordance with legal requirements, but rather a reflection of our commitment to digital inclusion and our intention to improve accessibility step by step.
Scope of Application
Our websites provide information about our products and services. No direct sales are made via the websites. Although we offer a product registration feature, this is a voluntary, additional service. It is not required for the use of our products or for accessing service offerings. Therefore, it does not fall under the legal accessibility requirements of the EAA.
Voluntary Commitment & Legal Framework
Our websites are not subject to the provisions of the EAA, as they do not offer “services” within the meaning of Section 2 No. 3 BFSG for remuneration, nor “services in electronic commerce” pursuant to Section 2 No. 26 EAA.
Nevertheless, we see it as part of our quality commitment to continuously improve accessibility for all user groups. For new content and online applications, we voluntarily aim to meet the current standards of the BFSG to the greatest extent possible and thereby facilitate and improve the usability of our offerings.
Older content – especially that created before the entry into force of the current accessibility requirements – may not yet be fully accessible. We are reviewing whether retroactive adjustments are feasible and appropriate, while balancing the effort with the potential benefit.
