Double win at the Red Dot Award:Product Design 2024

One frame each from Marc O’Polo Eyewear, Jos. Eschenbach and MINI EYEWEAR impressed the renowned Red Dot Award jury with their design quality. The experts honoured the models with the coveted ‘Red Dot Award: Product Design 2024’, which is internationally recognised for the highest design quality. This means that Eschenbach Eyewear has already won 14 Red Dot Awards in the last five years in a row.

BLOCK SIMPLICITY: The Marc O’Polo Eyewear 503216 model is straightforward, purist and solid. Clear design language and trend-conscious details: wide temples and voluminous fronts define the minimalist, clear design. Real rivet hinges on the sides emphasise the bold look. 80s-inspired: the discs as deep squares. High-set brackets add a touch of the 60s. These impressive features helped the model win the coveted Red Dot Award: Product Design 2024.

The jury also awarded the striking, straightforward Jos. Eschenbach model 981090 the coveted Red Dot Design Prize. The titanium frame is a statement piece that celebrates contrasts. The strongly accentuated front design catches the eye with its striking, flat shape – and then surprises with its weightless lightness. A deliberate statement: the visually massive, yet lightweight dimensions of the titanium fronts. A strongly emphasised upper eye line sets the centre of gravity. The lower eye line is minimalistically restrained. An exciting contrast: the wide beta titanium temples designed to the point.

The SUN model 746023 from the MINI EYEWEAR collection was also worth a Red Dot Award: Product Design 2024 to the international jurors. The trendy cat eye in a bold look is one of the MINI EYEWEAR collection highlights. MINI’s own colour scheme emphasises the silhouette and modern style. Details such as accentuated faceting and a tilt-adjustable, 5-lobed hinge complete this high-quality model.

Double win at the Red Dot Award:Product Design 2023

An international jury of industry experts, designers, professors, and specialized journalists has decided: Eschenbach Eyewear wins two Red Dot Awards: Product Design 2023 for the brands HUMPHREY´S eyewear and MINI EYEWEAR. The two frames were thus certified as having the highest design quality.

Model 583157 from HUMPHREY´S eyewear features special facets on the front that interpret the striking bold look in a particularly interesting way. The facets display different effects due to the shiny surface, giving the glasses an appealing versatility. In addition, the model is laminated on the inside, presenting both the facets and an extraordinary, intense colour combination. These convincing features earned the model the coveted Red Dot Award: Product Design 2023

The Red Dot Award jury is equally convinced by a model from the MINI EYEWEAR collection: the Oversized-Shape 741037 col. 50, which attracts all eyes and embodies MINIness to perfection. The trendy model emphasizes individual character by using retro elements. One striking feature is the CHILI RED colour scheme – the warm red is inspired by the MINI colour palette and expresses its radiance in this unmistakable shape, while the multi-layered acetate in colour-block optics creates a special effect. The eyewear design is rounded off by individually crafted stainless steel temples with built-in spring hinges, which offer the highest wearing comfort and add additional charm to the retro look.

Design for comfortand awarded twice

Two exceptional models from the current collection once again convinced the Red Dot Award jury of the design competence of our successful TITANFLEX brand.

Model 820900 is a premiere: the first combination of TITANFLEX and eye rims of synthetic material without metal reinforcement in the rims – made possible by the new high-tech PPSU polymer. Colours ranging from indigo blue, pine and neon orange to coriander perfect the design display.

Double lightness is the key to success for the rimless model 823018, as this design highlight leaves well-known paths and treads new technical solutions not only with the first double bridge made of Titanflex in a frameless model, but also with the curved bridge shape, which had to be newly developed for this material to ensure easy glazing despite the new structure to allow.

The simple but striking temples with a high-quality surface emphasize the delicate, light character of the front and round off the elegant, urban look of this concept.

New Nostalgia.New Award.

The Red Dot for the Authentic Windsor by Marc O’Polo Eyewear.

Marc O’Polo Eyewear stands for retro-inspired looks with Scandinavian spirit. Timeless, authentic and contemporary interpretations without losing sight of craftsmanship and attention to detail. In the current “New Nostalgia” collection, the premium modern casual brand inspires with a homage to the popular Windsor theme. And it also convinced the jury of the world-renowned Red Dot Design Award.

The Red Dot Award goes to the Authentic Windsor model 502168. The award-winning highlights: sophisticated product design with a fine thin-rimmed metal frame encased in a uniform coating of celluloid or Italian acetate. A technology that celebrates its 100th anniversary. Successful product design in the perfect Windsor look complemented by an integrated spring hinge and long acetate temple end: casual, real and excellent. A tribute to the craftsmanship of the 1920s and the first glasses of the “New Age”.

Stylish double winFor MINI EYEWEAR

These two models from the current collection of the Eschenbach license brand MINI EYEWEAR were able to convince the jury of the Red Dot Awards 2021 and won an award each.

The feminine model 747020 col. 42 – a combination of acetate and stainless steel – with a high-set bridge, striking topline and wide hinges is a real eye-catcher. The front is a shade of sage combined with shiny silver metal. The crystal-coloured acetate temples display the unmistakable MINI pattern on the temple inlay. On the silver-mirrored nylon sun lenses, you can see the lasered MINI wing logo on the left lens, which is also found on the hand-polished round temple tips.

Model 743012 col. 60, from the current MINI EYEWEAR collection Spring/Summer 2021, convinces with numerous arguments. The oversized square shape made of acetate with a rivet design stands out thanks to the unique lamination on the front and the nylor on the lower edge of the frame. The acetate temples reveal the unmistakable MINI pattern on the temple inlay and underline the frame’s statement. The iconic MINI wing logo also adorns the characteristic round temple tips on this model.

TITANFLEX convincesthe Red Dot expert panel yet again

Outstanding design and excellent quality, which also convinced the jury of the Red Dot Award: the TITANFLEX State-of-the-art model 820875 col. 30 has won the Red Dot Award 2021. The integration of the functional TITANFLEX zones in the futuristic overall concept appears self-evident here. The newly conceived front shape between strikingness and reduction underlines the modernity and personality of the spectacle wearer.

The striking front is flanked by a sporty, flowing stainless steel temple. The transition area to the slightly transparent plastic reveals the sophisticated technical detail solution for adjusting the temple at the ergonomic interface.

BRENDEL eyewear and TITANFLEX convince Red Dot expert panel

The BRENDEL eyewear model with geometric accentuation on the top line is striking due to its elaborate composition. The Panto lens shows transparent T15 plastic material framed by high-gloss stainless steel. The materials combine to create a model that radiates pure feminine elegance. A narrow integrated spring hinge provides additional wearing comfort.

Completely free of decorative elements, the award-winning TITANFLEX Slimsheet model captivates with a subtle play on the proportions of the edge of the eyes alone. No prefabricated standard profiles are used for this model; instead, each eye rim is produced from solid stainless steel plates in a digitally controlled process. The understated but effective two-tone colour scheme gives this young design with dynamic double bridge and slim temples a sporty and trendy look. Flexible and extremely light like all TITANFLEX models.

BRENDEL eyewearWinner of the German Design Award

Materials merge in striking style. The models from our last collection “SENSITIVE MINIMALISM” stood out by virtue of their clean elegance. This was perhaps best expressed by the sporty aviator glasses in feminine tones like model 903125, and in the crisp stainless steel silhouette of model 902300. These frames are prime examples of the “less is more” principle, with refined accents like fine laser-engraved lines lending these frames beautifully delicate touches.

The jury at the German Design Awards 2020 were also impressed by the sensitive minimalism of the last BRENDEL eyewear collection. These awards recognise projects and products, manufacturers and designs that have made pioneering contributions to the German and international design landscape. We at BRENDEL eyewear are therefore immensely proud that our models 903125 and 902300 have both been crowned winners this year.

Jos. Eschenbach receivestwo German Design Awards 2020

The German Design Council jury has selected two models from the Jos. Eschenbach collection as recipients of the German Design Award 2020. These awards underline the design expertise of the brand and its impeccable blend of design and function.

Jos. Eschenbach offers timelessly elegant eyewear, reimagining traditional design for the present day. Clean lines meet flawless function, with every model combining contemporary cool with vintage accents – the perfect composition of intricate craftsmanship and technical precision.

German Design Award winner model 981024 offers classical oval lenses in a stripped-back look. The lenses are framed by a striking brow line which transitions into minimalist, arching temples. The high-quality titanium nose pads carry a laser engraving of the company’s year of foundation: 1913.

Model 981578 has also been recognised with the German Design Award. This model delivers a modern interpretation of authentic heritage design, with the classic panto shape redefined in a mix of acetate and titanium. The acetate support hugs the back of the titanium frame, offering coloured nuances, while the temple tips and partly-enclosed geometric hinges perfectly reflect the restrained, uncluttered philosophy of the Jos. Eschenbach collection.
